Vice President of Operations
James Howard serves as Insurance Board’s VP of Operations. Jim comes to us from Lockton Companies where he was a broker in their real estate group. Jim’s insurance career includes work for such companies as Arthur J. Gallagher, the Heffernan Group, consulting work with the United Methodist Insurance program, Alternative Risk Resources where he consulted on captive formation, among others.
James’ responsibilities include overseeing underwriting and loss control, managing relationships with brokerage partners, as well as collaborating with Insurance Board’s captive manager and actuaries to assist in overall program success through the strategic mitigation of risk.
James currently resides in Barrington, IL, a suburb of Chicago, from where he will telecommute, with regularly scheduled travel to Insurance Board headquarters office in Cleveland, as necessary.
