IB Launches In-House Underwriting Service Team
(Cleveland, OH) - The Insurance Board (IB) has launched an in-house
underwriting team to service the underwriting needs of its 54 independent agents and 3700 participants: churches and related ministries of the United Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ and Presbyterian Church (USA).
The team, led by Brendon Collins, Manager, Underwriting Services, consists of three new hires: Jason Rudy (first photo), Daniel Carrick (second photo), and Kieziah McCullough (third photo), as well as Jennifer Czyrba (fourth photo) who transferred from another department and has worked for the IB for almost 2 years.
Prior to moving the function in-house, it was performed by Willis of Ohio who also serves as the Insurance Board’s broker. “It had always been the Company’s intention to move the service in-house,” says Cathy Green, Insurance Board President and CEO.
“The board and management team always felt that this function belonged in-house for the synergy it provides, and to streamline the process for our agents and our participants. Ultimately, this will give us better control of the service experience and will help us improve the premium allocation process,” says Green.
