Prior to joining the IB, Joe worked in several capacities including risk management, claims, loss control, product management, and underwriting. His professional experience includes employment with KeyBank’s Risk Management Division, and Westfield, Country and Zurich insurance companies. In his role at the IB Joe works with Dave Nelson on developing company underwriting policy, including rating rules. He is actively involved in the program renewal, in the development of new coverages, and in the evaluation of the acceptability of new classes of business.
Joe earned an MBA degree from the University of Illinois-Chicago and holds CPCU, ARM, and AIC designations. In addition, he is a member of the Cleveland Chapter of the CPCU Society and the Northeast Ohio Risk and Insurance Management Society, and he is a life-long UCC member.
